INSPIRATION
Peaceful Time is my take on James P. Butler’s 1917 expressionist piece, with fresh blues and turquoise that add a serene, calming vibe.
Inspired by the shapes of the sky, trees, and the gentle play of colors across the hills, I wanted to capture the expressive, almost dreamlike quality of the original—with a bit of Monet’s influence woven in.
The soft blues create a balanced, peaceful scene that feels like an oasis, perfect for any room that needs a touch of calm.
If you’re drawn to Monet’s style, this might be just the piece to bring that timeless beauty into your home. (You can find Butler’s original on display at the University of Illinois KAM museum!)
